Inside My Mind- Mad as a Hatter! Christmas is Expensive!

Hey all,

So, long time no blog, I know, but I've been busy with various things and haven't had a chance to do any updates or anything.

So it's Monday 28th November, but I haven't been to school today because it's a teacher training day, then I'm not in school on Wednesday either because of this whole strike malarkey.

I don't know too much about it, but I know it gets me a day off school, and that's all I need to know really :)

I'm going to my friend's fancy dress party on Saturday, and, after much deliberating, I've finally decided what I will dress up as- The Mad Hatter. Which explains the slightly strange title. Well, 50% of it anyway.

So back to Saturday, I went shopping today and bought a few essentials for my costume, including some red hairspray and a truly awesome hat, which I will post a picture of at the end of this post, or tomorrow or something. I think I'll probably wear a red tutu, a plain black top and some crazy tights, then just my black flossy's. Oh, and I'm planning to borrow a teapot and cup from my sisters tea set :) Hopefully they're not in storage (more on that later).

So I'll keep you updated on that. Now to explain the second part of my slightly random title.
So basically, I'm saving up to buy christmas presents for family and friends, and I've realized that I'm going to have to save up at least £50 minimum to afford close-to-decent presents for everyone. I've done a lot of research to find inexpensive presents that don't scream "I'm a pile of cheap crap!". And that's been pretty hard.

I've also realized that a lot of people are in the same dilemma right now, or will be in the weeks leading up to christmas. Plus I have no social life*. So, I've decided to create a "Mini Christmas Gift Guide for Skint People". Or maybe I'll think of a catchier name, but basically it's going to be a few inexpensive gift ideas for every type of person you could think of. The categories will be:

-Mum
-Dad
-Girls Under 5
-Boys under 5
- Girls up to 10
-Boys up to 10
-Teenage Girls
-Teenage Boys
- Old people
-Pets

And if I think of any more, I will add them. If you have any category ideas, please comment them below. Also if you have a shorter, catchier name for my gift guide, that would be great too :)

It will also have a list of good shops or websites to find inexpensive gifts.

So, moving on to our next topic, Moving House.

Basically, our house is just too small. Well actually it's quite big, but we have so many possessions (some people may call it junk, ahem Uncle Pete). So we need to move.

To make our house look as big as it is, we are going to need to get rid of a lot of our stuff. But, since we all have a minor hoarding problem, nobody wants to get rid. Thank god for storage units.

So yeah, basically about three quarters of my stuff has... gone. My room looks so much tidier though. Another negative though, the printer had to go into storage, which will affect my homework massively. Bottom line is, I'm too lazy to write, so I head for the computer. But, hey ho, that's what memory sticks are for. I'll just use the school printer.

It'll all be worth it in the end, but the end had better show up soon because I don't think I can write out my history essays for much longer!

Inside My Mind- Guess Where I am?

Hey all, So, if you follow my blog, you will know where I am, but if not, I'm in London right now. If you want to know more, check out yesterdays post. So, we arrived in London at about twenty past twelve, but didn't get to Alison's until about half one because wehad to get the tube to Twickenham, then walk to the house. Then we relaxed for a bit, then went for a walk through Twickenham. There's some really nice boutique shops here, and I bought a cute notebook that says 'I could've been a novel' on it. Then we went into Richmond and had a look around around. And I got some Red high-top Converse! (which i've wanted for ages!) That's all I got today because I'm going to Oxford Street tomorrow :D Anyways I do have more to tell but we're watching a film and I can't be bothered. Blog to you soon, M xoxo

Inside My Mind- Do you remember me?

Hey all!

So, long time no blog! It's been ages! I can't be bothered to give you a full update, so I guess I'll just start fresh.

I'm going to London tomorrow! I'm so excited :-) It's just me and my Mum going, so that'll be a bit weird, but also good. We're going to stay with one of my Mum's best friends (she's also my godmother) Alison, as her husband and daughter are going away for the weekend so we're keeping her company.

I've saved all my birthday money to go shopping in London (well, most of it) so I can go on a big shopping spree:) The shops in London are like, 100x bigger than the ones here, so I'm really excited for that (I'm a bit of a shopaholic). I'm missing one of my best friends' birthday parties cos I'll be in London, but I'm sleeping at hers next weekend to make up for it, and she's sleeping at mine the weekend after, and I'm trying to get my Mum to let me have one of my other best friends over too (I'm working on her) so I'll let you know how that goes.

So I'm in the middle of packing right now. Here's the plan for the weekend:

14.10.11 (Tomorrow)

8:42am- Train leaves from Sunderland directly to London
11:00am (approx.)- Arrive in London
12:00- after dropping our stuff off at Alison's, we'll go into Twickenham for lunch.
6:00pm- G out for tea

15.10.11 (Saturday)

10:15- London Duck Tour (tour of london on a truck that plunges into the river Thames in the last part of the tour- check it out www.londonducktours.co.uk)
12:00- Go into Covent Garden to have lunch and meet up with Donna (a friend of my mums who lives in London)
2:00 (approx.)- Go to Oxford Street for SHOPPINGGG!!! :))))))
6:00-7:00pm- Alison's got something planned but it's a surprise, I'll let you know what it is when i know:)

Coming Home :'(

I wanted to go to Madame Toussards and Buckingham but for various reasons which I can't be bothered to explain we couldn't go.

Inside My Mind- She's Alive!

Hey all, Sunday 24.7.11 20:20 pm So sorry I've been absent for (hmm... let me see...) 21 days (!). I did go to write a post on Wednesday, but when I was close to the end (and it was quite long) I minimised the window to go and have my tea or something, then forgot about it and shut my laptop down. And of course, it didn't save. I've been really busy since then, what with the end of the school year, packing for the cottage, etc. I really do have a lot to talk about! So right now I'm actually in a lovely cottage in Winster. Ivy Cottage, to be exact. I think I told you a couple of posts ago about this holiday, so if you follow my blog then you should already know why I'm here, but if not, I'll give you a quick brief... I'm here until next Friday on a short holiday. My Uncle, Auntie and cousin are coming tomorrow, as we're sharing the cottage with them. We barely ever see them, and I'm talking twice a year, if that. So yeah, that will be nice. The people who own this cottage rent it out as a holiday home. It's beautiful! It has three bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with two twin beds, and one with a super king size bed and a single bed, which is the one I'm sleeping in. The drive down took about three hours, stopping at a service station for burger king. One of my sisters was sick everywhere just as we were pulling into the service station, which was nice :P So the car stunk of sick for the last two hours of the journey. Lovely. But, it's not her fault. Bless her. Anyway, I'm sitting on my bed right now typing this. Luckily my Mum brought her laptop (she can't live without internet. You can tell I'm her daughter) and she's letting me use it. So this is the perfect time to type this blog post. Went to Flamingo Land on Tuesday. It was amazing! Best ride I went on was the Flip Flop. Fun, but scary! It was a good day. I'll tell you more about it another time. I really want my Mum to start blogging. She's made a blog and designed it and stuff, but she hasn't done a post yet, even though she has her face glued to her iphone or her laptop 98% of the time. (Again, mother and daughter alike). Her blog is all about her daughters (including me). She said it's mainly just for personal use, but you can check it out if you like. www.madeinsunderland.blogspot.com So, we get home on the 29th, it's my birthday on the 30th (I'm so excited!!) and then me and Daisy go to Druridge Bay on the 31st. We get back on the 3rd, then it's my birthday party on the 6th. Wow, I just realised, I have a busy life in the next few weeks. Usually my life is fairly boring. By the way, Druridge Bay is a caravan rally that my stepdad's mum and dad go to every year, and they usually take me and Daisy. We've been going for about four years now, and it's mostly the same people every year, so we have friends there. Also there's a nice beach five minutes walk away from the rally. I think I've mentioned it before, but only briefly. So I'm going horse riding on Tuesday, which I'm excited about. And we might be going into Bakewell tomorrow (yes, the town is called Bakewell. Get over it) to get some lunch, do some shopping, and other cool stuff that cool people (such as myself) do. But mainly we're just going to spending some quality family time together. Fun, fun, fun! I still have a brick for a phone, as my iphone has been sent away to get fixed. I'm lost without Tiny Wings! :'( Well, I'm going to go. I don't want to tell you everything I have to say, or I'll have nada to talk about these next few nights. (Nada is nothing in a language. Don't ask me which one. Spanish, maybe? Inside My Mind- Summer Time High!

I'm on a summer time high!
But apart from that, everything's pretty normal :)
Got back from a walk to the beach with my family about twenty minutes ago. Been wearing some denim shorts all day that are just a tiny bit too small, and I've been dying to take them off. So I'm sitting here in my california eagles t-shirt and my pyjama bottoms. Ahhh. Bliss...


So, yeah. Handed in my money for Flamingo Land, and I'm so excited! Plus, it's my birthday in 27 days! (Not that I'm counting or anything). By the way, it's about 7:00 PM, Sunday 27th July. My iPhone has to get a new screen, which means even more waiting before I get it back. But even then, that might not fix it. Then I'll be stuck with this awful brick for EVER. :0 dun dun duuuuun! So, I'll keep you updated on that. But to be honest, I'm not too hopeful :(


But anyway, enough moaning. Juts thought I'd do a quick post while a have a few spare minutes. Only 9 days of school left until the summer holidays! Yey :) It would be ten, but we are off next Friday for reasons that I really can't be bothered to explain.

Inside My Mind- Erm..

Hey all, So it's 8:55 am, and it's Saturday. (FINALLY!) I'm going to my Gran's today. Listening to Pretty Girl Rock by Keri Hilson. "Don't hate me cos' I'm beautiful" :) Uuugh. Can't think of anything to write. Not much to write, tbh. That's what you get for coming on Blogger with an empty mind! Wait...Nope. Still nothing. My mind's empty most of the time these days actually. Me and some of my friends are doing a dance to Judas by Lady Gaga at the school open evening on Wednesday, and I might also be doing a bit of singing. I'm also doing a dance to Thriller (by Micheal Jackson, but we're doing it to the Glee version haha) with some other friends. Busy Busy Busy! Hehee. So, it's the 1st of July. Best month of the year!  Only 30 days until my birthday! Yipdeedooo!
It's five to eight, (PM) and I'm in my P.J's, just chillaxing. Lol. What a cringey word :S




Yeah so, this is going to be a bit of a random post, but I just wanted to talk to you guys, have a bit of ramble, with someone that won't interrupt me, and will listen well :)


I'm really hoping to get my iPhone back soon. It's getting mended because it has a crack on the screen, so I have to have this brick of a phone until it's fixed. Bummer, I know. But, there you go. As long as I get my iPhone back soon, I'm fine.


So many things to look forward to! Summer is definitely here now. I've got a trip to Flamingo Land coming up, the summer holidays, Peak District, my birthday, the air show... everything! Did a post on my style blog earlier, www.styleiconic.blogspot.com, if you wanna check it out :)

Inside My Mind-Umm...Well...

Hey all, I can't really think of much to talk about, but I guess I may as well do a post seeing as I have a bit of free time. Soo... Got home from school about half an hour ago, and I've just done some maths homework, about to go make myself a sandwich, watch Ugly Betty, do a video diary, all that good stuff. Did javelin throwing today in P.E... Me and sharp things isn't a good combination. I almost stabbed myself in the head several times. :D That reminds of a time that I look back and laugh at now, but at the time, it wasn't very funny. Okay guys... story time! Are you sitting comfortably? Yes? (Oi, you, hurry up and sit down, we're all waiting! Sheesh) Then let's begin... (Oh, if you are a bit squeamish, you may want to skip this part) So, I signed up for an after school cookery class in primary school, about two years ago now actually. I will never forget though. Anyway, you had to take an adult, and seeing as the day it was on I was supposed to be at my Gran's, I took her every week. So, we were making dips for crisps, carrots etc. that week. I was chopping a carrot (you know what's coming) and the big huge massive colossal extremely sharp knife happened to slip, and unfortunately, chopped the side of my finger off. Yes. The WHOLE side of my finger. There was blood and sick everywhere. Actually, there was no sick. There almost was though! I went white as a sheet, according to my Gran, and had to put my head between my legs, as I almost fainted. (I wish I did, I've always wanted to know what it felt like, haha) I had to have a huge bandage. So, there you go! Lovely little story for y'all. Well, this post is longer than I thought it would be, but that can only be a good thing, right? :D I have another charming story for you in the next post, actually, to keep things interesting. Hopefully I will remember. I mean, I could tell you now, buuuut I can't. Because I don't want to. Because I can't be bothered. Inside My Mind- Where has she been?

Hey all, So you've probably noticed that it's an annoying habit of mine to just... well, disappear. And I know, for those of you following my blog, it can be irritating. I am trying to get back on track though, so I'm going to try and make blogging a daily thing again. Would you like that? Yes, I thought so. So, I've just finished a suuuuuuper long post on my fashion blog about Pixie Lott. It took me FOREVER, so please check it out: www.styleisiconic.blogspot.com Anyway, I'm going to tell you everything and anything I can think of to tell you, to make up for my absence. Here goes... So, I've just finished my E.O.Y (end of year) maths exams, which confirm what set I will be in next year, so that's pretty heavy. I got a 6B overall. There was a calculator, non-calculator, and a mental test (like when the questions are read out by some person on a tape recorder). That reminds me actually, I still haven't told my Mum what mark I got. She probably wants to know. Then again, I think she reads my blog. So, she can find out this way :) Nahh just kidding, I'll tell her later. It's actually only 9.22 am right now, and everyone is still in bed. It's Sunday. I watched Letters To Juliet last night, with Amanda Seyfried in it. I like her, and the film was quite good, but it was extremely soppy and predictable in some parts. So soppy, in fact, that my Mum and I literally found ourselves going 'errlack' at times. Yeah. But, it was okay. So, I got an interesting homework for citizenship. What you have to do is, make a scrapbook about your celebrity role models. I have a few ideas in mind, but I don't want to choose any more than two. Here's the shortlist- Nicola Roberts Lady Gaga Tyra Banks Pixie Lott Beyonce Leona Lewis So, yeah. But I haven't decided which two I'm going to pick yet. Let me know what you think in the comment box below. So it's nearly my birthday. It's on the 30th of July, and it's the 26th of June today. Okay, so it's not that close, but it's still pretty close. I already know I'm getting some skinny jeans from my Mum (one beige pair, one light wash denim pair) and something apparently AMAZING from my step dad. Oh, the guessing. It's killing me. Iphone 5? Ipad? Horse Riding Lessons? New laptop? Doubt it, Doubt it, Doubt it, Doubt it. But, a girl can always dream :) I'm also hoping for some money, cos' there's a bag in River Island that I want so much it's scary! Hahaa :D So, at the end of the school year, there's always a really cool school trip. This year, there are a few seperate ones going on. We get to pick from Beamish, Wet 'N' Wild, Light Water Valley and Flamingo Land. At first I chose Wet 'N' Wild, but then I changed it to Flamingo Land, cos' you're allowed to do that. I went to Flamingo Land last year, and it was amaaazing, although the queues were very long, especially for the Log Flume. We queued for that for about 50 mins! Then, just before my birthday, my family (me, my mum, my step dad, and my three sisters) are going to the Peak District. It's kinda like the Lake District, which I'm sure you've heard of, only we're staying in a cottage. Quite looking forward to that. Also there's Druridge Bay (not sure how to spell that) which is a caravan site my Nana and Grandpa go to every year. I have loads of friends there. That will be fun. But it's just me and Daisy that go, not Tilly or Poppy or my Mum or step dad, so we get a bit of freedom. Then, in the summer holidays, me and my Mum might be going to stay with one of my Mum's good friends (who also happens to be my godmother, who by the way is extremely awesome) in LONDON!! Aaargh! So exciting! Did you know that the Primark there has ten floors? Ours only has two!! So amazing. Also there's the summer show, which I will be singing in, but the venue or the date haven't been confirmed yet, so just waiting for those details. Inside My Mind- Forgive Me? ;)

Okay, so in my last post, I said that I would do a post and put up some pictures of take that. And... Surprise surprise, I didn't. I'm sorry! I have just been so busy this half term, an this school week, so it's been 8 days since I put up a post. But, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, i.e, have a life. Anyway, enough excuses. It's wednesday today, and probably the next chance I'll get to do a proper blog post (with pictures and stuff, cos I can't put pictures on my posts when i'm writing on my phone) will be on Friday, possibly Saturday, possibly even sunday. But, I'll try my very best to do it on Friday, because i've already kept you waiting long enough.

Inside my Mind- I LOVE TAKE THAT!!

So, about 15 minutes ago i got back from...oh yes...TAKE THAT!!!!!!!!!! it was, in a word... frickin awesome!!!!!! wait, thats two words...oh stop ruining my mood! anyway, must jump in shower as i got beer thrown over my head (at least i hope it was beer) and then bed, probably. im not tired, but my body is. saying that, looking at this screen is making my eyes feel slightly droopy. lol.


anyway, i promise i will tell u every single detail AND put up some pictures tomorrow (actually, today, cos its 17 minutes past midnight!), as its half term, so i have no excuses.

Inside my mind- Sorry for Slogging

Yeah, I admit, I've been slogging (slacking on blogging) a lot lately. I did a post the other day but it was extremely short. But a proper post is on it's way. In fact, you're reading it right now. I don't have long, as my phone is going to die soon, but I will do my best. I'm lieing on the sofa, it's exactly 11:00 pm and my mum is on her way home from take that. I'm going on Tuesday (buzzbuzzbuzz). I've just been tweeting, reading magazines and watching TV. I'm having to sleep on the sofa tonight cos my mum's friends are sleeping in my room. (they went to take that with my mum but they don't live near so they're staying over) Take that played last night, they played tonight, and they're playing on monday and Tuesday. I saw some pictures in the paper when of last night, and it looked AMAZING. There was a colossal metal man and take that were sitting in it's hands singing. There were reportedly over 54,000 peeps there last nights (I said peeps instead of people there cos this was starting to sound like a news report lol). Anyway, the days couldn't be going more slowly. I was going to wear a playsuit with my denim jacket, but it will be too cold, so in going to wear my high waisted shorts, my top that says awesome on it, like three pairs of thick black tights, Barbour jacket, military boots, and woolly socks. Oh and probably a cardie underneath my Barbour. Think I'll be warm enough? ;) Anyway, I must go before my phone dies. Oh, and btw, the talent show went really well! Inside My Mind-Pizza, Take That and Virtually Hyperventilating!

Hey all, So I wrote a post this morning at about 12:15, but I deleted it 'cos it wasn't very interesting. So I just got back from Pizza Hut with all my family (except pete cos he's on night shifts so he was asleep) and we also met some friends there. That was fun. They mustn't have been having a very good day because they messed three of our orders up. They made it up with free desserts and a free smoothie though, so that's ok :) I'm going to rehearse for Tuesday, do some homework, pack my bag, do more rehearsing, then... probably blog, tweet, etc. Listening to The Flood by Take That. I'm going to go and see them on the 31st of May!!!!! I'm sooo excited. Only nine days to go... I'm wearing the same playsuit that I'm wearing for the fundraiser, except with black tights, military boots (or brogues, I'm not sure yet) and pearl earrings. And I don't know what I'm doing with my hair, but it's half term that week so I've got all day to get ready. My mum is going on the Saturday and the Tuesday! Lucky. Well at least I'm actually going. I'm so lucky and excited!!!!!!!!! AAAARRRRRGGGG!!!!! Sorry. Lol. Inside My Mind- Today In a Nutshell

Hey all, So I've just got out the shower, and it's 5:20 pm. Went out as planned, had lunch at my mum's friend's house (ham and mayo in a bread bun, cucumber, snacky stuff) stayed there for a couple of hours, then we went to a craft fair. There wasn't much there, but after we went to a park in Whitburn for half an hour or so. Then we came home. So yeah, that's today in a few sentences. Went to the salon aswell and kne of the girls (who works there) gave me all the magazines to keep (stuff like Reveal, Heat, OK, etc.) That's my weekend sorted! Lol. So there's a fundraising concert on at my school on Tuesday night to raise money for Help For Hero's, and I'm singing E.T by Katy Perry. I'm a tad nervous (that's a lie, I'm nervous as hell) but it'll be fun I'm sure. I'll do a post later on my outfit, if you want to see it. Actually, I think my playsuit is in the wash. I'll see if I can do it tomorrow. It's a black playsuit with daisies and other flowers on it, black brogues, my owl earrings, and my LOVE ring. I'll probably curl my hair. I'm just in my pj's, a comfy cardie, and my favorite slipper socks. Aaaaah. Listening to Your Song by Ellie Goulding. Pete's been on night shifts the last couple of nights, and he is tonight as well, so he's been asleep all day the past few days. I feel sorry for my Mum sometimes. Working full time (I just overheard her saying she's going back to work after maternity leave on Monday) looking after three and a half kids (There's four of us but I don't really need looking after). But there you go. I didn't have time to straighten my hair this morning, but it's probably just as well, cos it needed a wash. I haven't done a video diary in about a week, so I'm going to go and do that now. So I'm going to go, because you don't really care about anything I have to tell you (lol, actually, I just don't really have anything else to say). Oh, wait! How could I forget? I was feeling...immature, so I got my face painted at the craft fair :D I got it painted as Black Swan. It was pretty AWESOME, I have to admit. Just had a salami and mayo sandwich and tried some of my mum's homemade jam. It was nice, but slightly too thick, so I think she's going to give it another go. Inside my mind-Nothing Much, Actually

Its 9:15 am, and I'm trying to decide what to wear. I know what I'm wearing on top, I think, but I seriously need some new skinny jeans. I want a pair of beige ones, and some light wash denim ones. So yeeah. Going to the salon at half nine, then going out. Fun fun. Listening to 'Buzzin' Think I'm going to straighten my hair today, because I never really get the chance on schooldays. I think when I'm ready I might try and fail to do a rubix cube. Sounds good, huh? Blog to you soon, M x

Inside my mind- Today Feels Good

Hey all, I was dreading school today. I hate Friday's lessons. I almost used my stomach pains as an excuse to stay off, but I didn't. (I did have stomach pains, but they're not as bad now). Anyway, today wasn't all bad. Here's a breakdown of my day- Maths- Boring, as per, but not terrible. Science- Sat next to Tia, which improved things. Usually science isn't too bad, but we finished our assessments and did a quiz, and I was pretty much in snoozeland the whole time. French- Had an awful supply teacher, but I just read my book for the most part of the lesson anyway. ICT- Just messed around on PowerPoint. Citizenship- Definitely the highlight of my day. We had the same supply teacher as French, but this time she just let us get on with things, and me and my mates just talked and laughed. There was some hilarious moments! I'm smiling to myself as I type this :D But yeah, that's pretty much my day in a nutshell. I wasn't too bad, at least it wasn't as bad as I thought it woould be. I've just done my chores. Every weekend I have to dust, polish and hoover the whole house (!) which I hate doing with a PASSION. Words can't describe how much I hate it. But at least it's done now.
